JAPAN TOP SONGS 2022 - Billboard Japan Hot 100 Year-End Chart

With the Year-End Top 100 finally out, I think I made the right decision to ignore the Mid-Year chart this year. As it kept me guessing on who will emerge on top this year.

As usual, this video is a good recap of the top songs this year, with many familiar faces from earlier in the year (or even last year) showing up. This year we also bear witness to the first song that appeared in six Year-End charts. Can you guess which song that is?

Don't forget to hang around after the first place reveal - the additional statistics is back for another year. Compared to the past years, there are less new songs showing up in the Year-End chart - 55 to be exact. On the other hand, we start to see more songs that did not enter the Top 50, but somehow managed to show up here. I'm not sure why that is - did they survive based on streaming alone?

Despite the slow start this year, the rest of the year is pretty fruitful for me. I am very glad that the "lights at the end of the tunnel" I mentioned last year did came through, and I hope that this year has treated you well. Finally, hope you all enjoy the video :)

So many great songs this year, but if I had to pick one it would be #91, with #48 following closely behind.
Least favorite on the list is #57. Also the rap part of #29 almost ruined the song for me.

As mentioned in my last video, I will be off till next year, so this will be the last video of 2022. Happy holidays, and see you next year.
