Emirates Palace is a hotel that opened in 2005 at a cost of $3 billion. Officially it is a 5-star hotel, but due to its luxury it is considered a 7-star hotel. The site covers 1 million m², and the building's east and west wings are more than 1 km long. Furthermore, there are over 100 domes, including the central dome that is over 70 meters high, and over 1,000 chandeliers. It also serves as a state guesthouse, with a VIP gate that can only be used by state guests and members of the royal family.

Abu Dhabi Airport Terminal A has opened. I visited the brand new terminal that completely changed the travel experience.
Covering 742,000 square meters, it is one of the largest airport terminals in the world. The $3 billion building, which is triple the size of the old terminal, is set to double the current airport's capacity and manage up to 45 million passengers per year. It's capable of handling 79 planes at once and 11,000 passengers per hour.
Stands at the center of the new terminal at Abu Dhabi airport is Sana Al‐Nour, a unique structure and the largest public artwork in the Middle East. The departure area features 12 check-in rows with self check-in counter. There are dedicated check-in areas for Etihad Business and First Class passengers.
At the airside, I visited the new Etihad Airways First Class and Business Class lounge in Terminal A. The impressive new lounge spans three floors of Terminal A’s. Check out all the lounge features in my video. Etihad’s First Class lounge features restaurant-style dining and private rooms.
Abu Dhabi International Airport is being renamed as Zayed International Airport, with the official new name to take effect from February 9.

This is a 4K driving tour of the most popular areas and famous sights in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This video was filmed on January 13, 2024 and the route is a total length of 78.2 kilometers.
The drive begins on the Sheikh Zayed highway near the Abu Dhabi Mangroves and proceeds to the impressive Gate Towers superstructure. Mohammed Hamid arrives at the Al Ain oasis shortly before sunrise in his mini transporter. A dozen dromedaries crowd around the loading area. Mohammed wants to sell them at the largest camel market in the entire Emirates.
Every day, around 1000 animals change hands here and buyers and sellers haggle prices until the sun goes down again. Even more sought after are the animals that Abdullah Alnher has on offer between the camel boxes: falcons. For the Emiratis, these animals are the number one status symbol - more so than cars, yachts and jewellery.
