Apple to roll out modems to compete with Qualcomm: BBG

Apple (AAPL) is preparing to roll out its new cellular modem chips that will replace components from its former partner in the endeavor Qualcomm (QCOM), according to Bloomberg reports.

Yahoo Finance tech editor Dan Howley details Apple's in-house chip production plan, which could see the first generation of iPhones to feature this chip to come out within the next year.
